Girls Want Porn Too HOUSE OF HOSKINS

April Hoskins was born November 21, 1978 in Three Rivers, MI. She spent her childhood as a military brat on bases in Hawaii and Kentucky.

During her teenage years she lived in Scotts, MI. outside of Kalamazoo, MI. During her late teens she met the poet James Schwartz, becoming his BFF.

From 2000-2002 Hoskins worked backstage at Brothers Beta Club and The Zoo Bar (Kalamazoo, MI) helping performers get ready for drag shows and pageants. Hoskins + Schwartz both resided with famed drag legend Chelsea Del Ray, Hoskins having an asexual love affair with Miss Carmen Sandiego (aka Scotti Moore).

Hoskins herself took to the stage in 2001’s “LaTasha Black Show” at The Zoo which Schwartz later scribed in his poem April’s Song (from The Scarlet Band and Other Poems). Between clubbing on the Kalamazoo gay scene Schwartz and Hoskins both wrote poetry, editing a ‘zine titled The Zoo Review and filling it with gossip tidbits and their poetry.

In 2001 Schwartz + Hoskins moved to Sarasota, FL. And since 2002 Hoskins has resided in Jacksonville, FL. With her partner Bryan Stafford and their two children Alexander and Rebecca.

Hoskins made a 2 poem cameo appearance in Schwartz’s 2004 poetry chapbook A James Schwartz Reader. In 2007 Hoskins answered Alexander's Poem by James Schwartz with:

JAMES' SONATA

I have walked with you on moonless nights

When the darkness was overwhelming.

I have held you cherished in my arms

When your heart was raw and aching

I have watched you grow from boy to man

And stood aside to let you shine

I have called you my dearest love

and am honored to call you my friend

I have weathered your raging storms

And kept a light on to guide you home.

I have seen you dance and watched you fall

But I never let you crash.

I tell my children of you often

But to them it's like a fairy tales.

How do I make them understand this love

So strong yet at times so frail

The miles seperate us now but I'm still near

Nothing could tear us apart, love precivers.

At times, I have stood in the shadows

Because I know you needed the light.

But if you ever turn around dear

I'll be by your side.

.... Hoskins currently resides in Jacksonville, FL. with her family.

"EXCUSE ME DEAR...DID YOU SAY DRAG HAG?"

Fag hag is a slang term for a woman who associates mostly or exclusively with gay men. The term originated in gay male culture in the United States and was historically an insult, but it can also be used jokingly or in a positive way.[1] Some women who associate with gay men object to being called fag hags,[2] while others embrace the term.[3][4]

Some would say that fag hags are pitied based on the assumption that their fascination with gay men lies in infatuation, which will most likely never be consummated. While this is occasionally true, most fag hag relationships contain no romantic feelings; indeed, some fag hags are lesbian.[citation needed]

This relationship, like most positive relationships, generally evolves out of shared interests and opinions. It offers heterosexual women an opportunity to participate in a gay community where arts, fashion, and literature are embraced and encouraged.[citation needed] The gay community also offers straight women a safe environment to party in relative freedom from unwanted sexual advances.

In interviews with gay men and self-described fag hags the most common theme is safety.[citation needed] A rich relationship can develop between a straight woman and a gay man without sexual tension. The fag hag relationship allows the participants to separate intimacy and sexuality.

The term "fag hag" does not generally carry the same negative connotations that "fag" would. The term is used, without the intent to insult, by both gay men and their female admirers. Some women (such as comedian Margaret Cho and Jessie from the UFN Show podcast) will proudly declare themselves to be fag hags.[citation needed]

Synonyms include fruit fly,[5] homo honey and fairy godmother.

A fag hag can also mean a female celebrity that is loved by gay men, or the gay community. Judy Garland has been characterized as a fag hag (the origin of the phrase "Friend of Dorothy" referring to gay men, as Dorothy was the character Judy Garland played in The Wizard of Oz). Madonna, Cher and Ana Matronic of Scissor Sisters and Kathy Griffin also qualify as fag hags.

In the movie Fame, Doris is referred to as a fag hag for hanging out with a recently out gay character.

Julia Roberts's character in The Mexican developed a fag hag-type relationship with a gay hit man, Winston Baldry, played by James Gandolfini. Other media examples include the show Will & Grace and the film The Object of My Affection.

The slang terms lesbro, dyke tyke, dyke mike, dyke dork, Dutch boy, dyke dog, or rug doctor have been used occasionally to refer to a male with extensive platonic friendships with lesbians, but this usage is far less common. In the case of lesbians/gay men, the term dyke diva is sometimes used to describe a similar kind of relationship.

A straight man who has a similar affinity with gay men is termed a fag stag, but, again, this usage is rarer.
